On Friday 16th of February the Donkeys from the IW Donkey Sanctuary will be at the Ventnor Botanic Garden between 11am and 4pm. Come and hear their rescue stories and give their fluffy ears a tickle, they love having their manes and backs stroked too!
Also on the 16th you can see milking demonstrations with the cheeky Show Goats big and small from the IW Goat Club. There will be some British Guernsey’s, a dairy goat whose name is Benne, Bernard who enjoys a day out and is very handsome, and a little pygmy stud goat, the Mighty Hercules!
Every day during the holidays we also have the fantastic Giant Colouring Wall, ideal for rainy days, our Outdoor Playground to let off some steam , a great ‘Search and Stamp trail, and if you are very brave, then we will see you in the Secret Tunnel and our Underground Mushroom Chamber!
Free guided garden tours will ensure you get the most out of your visit and admire the start of the flowering display of the beautiful Giant Tree Magnolias. Along with our free product tasting of homemade jams, chutneys and Ales, this all helps towards a really good value day out.
Take a look round our shop and round off your visit in the Plantation room café were you will find a gorgeous selection of cakes with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, teas and coffees, hot chocolate, wine and beers for the grownups to accompany tasty hot and cold light lunches. Or every day this half term our Edulis restaurant is now open with a great new menu for 2018.
